Reviews from my players
“Alex is a solid GM, from crunchy tactical battle to character role play, you will not be disappointed.
I would say his most outstanding skill is to bring multiple factions and their politic to life, both in the background where you can only see the shockwave of your characters actions as well as in brilliant NPCs that are scary, powerful, and intimidating.
If you put effort in your character, you will be rewarded, I have had role-play moments that opened my mind as a GM and player and have definitely changed my style of GMing.
He is proficient at many systems - few of them he worked professionally on.
If you want to play outside of D&D I can recommend his "Vampire the Masquerade" games, "Hunter the Vigil" and if you want something less serious "They came from beneath the sea".”

“I’ve played games with Alex for years, and by far he has been one of the best GMs I’ve had the pleasure to play at the tables for.
I can’t think of a single GM who’s managed to so creatively express such a wide range of vibes and emotions from his stories.”
Every game I’ve been part of I have never felt so powerful yet still afraid of the heavy weight of my actions. But in another breath we can play pulpy space operas and he doesn’t miss a beat, perfectly capturing the emotion and energy of the scenarios involved.
Alex takes a great interest in what players want from these stories and definitely makes sure that all players at the table are seen, heard, and encouraged to bring their best selves.

“If you have the chance to have Alex as your Storyteller, take it.
Suspenseful, engaging and hilarious whenever he wants to be, Alex is an experienced Storyteller and Games Master. He has run many one-shots and short campaigns for me, all of which have left me with a smile. Depending on the system Alex is able to tell a light hearted adventure through the wilderness, or an action packed epic fantasy. Such tales have included the horrors of going hollow in Dark Souls; or having tea with a hyperactive talking puppy in Dungeons & Dragons.
Alex has ran many games for me over the years ranging from various Powered by the Apocalypse systems, 13th Age, Dungeons and Dragons, Vampire the Masquerade and Low Fantasy Gaming just to name a handful. Each system Alex was able to run a unique game; successfully combing theme and narrative for the various needs of his players. As many experianced RPG Storytellers do, Alex runs great session zeroes to make sure no lines are crossed and to set games up to be a good time for everyone.
As mentioned above, Alex can create full worlds with a vast assortment of colourful characters. But perhaps most importantly Alex is able to give each player the spotlight throughout the course of his longer games. This can sometimes feel empowering, giving you a big Hero moment, or emotional allowing goodbyes to characters in tense moments. Whilst these usually are dependant on the narrative, and most importantly earning those moments, Alex is brilliant at giving you the chances to make yourself a compelling protagonist in the surrounding story. “
